I love September. It’s when I start baking again in the house. I don’t bake too much in the Summertime because it’s just so hot out. But September, oh, I love the idea of making a cake with blueberries and peaches. It just gets me in the festive mood of celebrating the end of Summer and the beginning of a new Season.
Here is my Blueberry and Peach Sour Cream Cake Recipe. You will love it!
The Sour Cream really adds the moisture I was looking for. No one wants a dry cake and you won’t have one with this recipe.
The first time I made this cake, the peaches and blueberries sank a little, so that is why I add the dry ingredients last. It seemed to fix the issue. If you do have any issues with the fruit sinking, you can add flour to the bottom of the fruit, it should help.
